Mimi Turner has a B.A. in Early Education from the University of Florida and a M.Ed. with a focus on Montessori with Integrative Learning from Endicott College. She homeschooled her three children for 16 years, and also volunteered for various children’s ministries. Mrs. Turner was involved in several models of homeschool groups and academies throughout those years, and in 2011 extended her own education, becoming a certified Montessori Secondary I and II teacher and completing her Masters in 2013. She loved the Biblical principals found in the roots of this form of education, as well as the focus on helping students discover who God created them to be. The group-project based integrated learning approach she used is also well-suited to MGA’s Classical education. Mrs. Turner is blessed to join the staff as the Rhetoric 1 English teacher, working alongside her daughter, Erin Turner, thereby fulfilling their dream teach together.
